1. Les précautions de bon sens
Constat : une boîte à lettre qui déborde, une poubelle vide, des volets constamment fermés ou une pelouse qui n’est pas tondue sont autant de signaux qui risquent de trahir une absence prolongée. 2. Restez visible

6. Protéger vos ouvertures
La porte d’entrée constitue le point névralgique car 80 % des voleurs passent par là. Face à une porte qui leur résiste plus de 3 minutes, ils passent leur chemin dans la majorité des cas.
La solution est triple :
- opter pour une serrure anti-effraction certifiée A2P est un premier bon réflexe. Cela n’empêche pas l’effraction mais contribue à la retarder jusqu’à 15 minutes, une éternité pour un cambrioleur.
- une serrure de qualité ne sert à rien si la porte elle-même ne l’est pas. Une porte non blindée se casse à la masse (ou à la hache) ou se force au pied de biche. La meilleure solution est le blindage, idéalement le bloc porte blindée. L’acier peut être recouvert de bois, plus agréable à l’œil et plus isolant. Vérifiez que le bâti de la porte est recouvert d’acier et que les plaques d’acier proposent une épaisseur suffisante.
- un verre anti-effraction (norme P5A) pour les portes à panneau vitré
Pour les fenêtres, trois axes sont à privilégier :
- le vitrage anti-effraction, également appelé retardateur d’effraction, est conçu pour freiner l’intrusion grâce à sa résistance renforcée qui s’appuie sur le nombre de feuilles de verre, leur épaisseur et le nombre de feuilles PVB insérées à l’intérieur du vitrage.
Ce type de vitrage résiste aux jets d’objets, aux coups de masse ou de hache.
Les vitrages les plus résistants proposent 3 vitres de 4 mm et 6 feuilles PVB : il faut 30 coups de masse pour libérer un passage d’homme !
Notez que certaines assurances exigent des équipements anti-effraction selon la valeur des biens à couvrir en cas de vol à peine de ne pas rembourser le cas échéant.
- pensez aux options de paumelles anti-dégondage et aux autres éléments de la quincaillerie (vis, verrous, crémones…) qui méritent réflexion
- Enfin, un vitrage n’étant jamais incassable, complétez-le d’un dispositif à volets roulants à verrouillage automatique et éventuellement de barreaux pour les accès les plus sensibles.
Conclusion
Sans sombrer dans la paranoïa, il peut être intéressant, dans votre cas, de jouer la sécurité. Comme on dit, le jeu en vaut peut-être la chandelle. On l’a vu, si le risque zéro n’existe pas, les solutions efficaces pullulent. A commencer par une entente et une organisation de voisinage fondée sur la surveillance des alentours. Un comportement suspect (un individu qui fouille une poubelle, une boîte à lettre, stationne devant la maison de votre voisin en prenant des notes, des photos…) ou des marquages étranges (au sol, sur la boîte, les murs…) doivent être immédiatement signalés à la police. Et tant pis, si vous êtes le cinquième à les appeler pour les mêmes observations. Car la première faille de sécurité, c’est l’indifférence.
